Jr. Spitfires' pride following OHL draft

The OHL draft saw four players drafted from the Windsor Junior Spitfires U16 team. "We are extremely proud of our boys and how hard they worked this year." said head coach Matt Zucatto.

It was the fourth year four players from the program were drafted. "We built a reputation where players want to come play for us and our organization."

Winger Joshua Lepain was the first one taken in the 5th round by London. Saginaw picked defenceman Tyler McGuire in the 6th round and Griffin Grundner in the 10th round. Noah Mathieson went to the Barrie Colts in the 15th round.

"We pride ourselves on hard work, staying disciplined and playing the right way and when we do that we are very successful as a team and as individuals. It has helped these boys become not only better hockey players but young men that can be looked up to!"
