With a rise of Covid-19 cases in the Ontario the Provincial Junior Hockey League has decided to change the start of the season.

"Unfortunately we are unable to start December 1st". said Lakeshore Canadiens general manager Marc Seguin.

The Canadiens, Amherstburg Admirals, Essex 73's and Wheatley Sharks are the Essex County teams affected by the decision.

Lakeshore has been practicing and Seguin says the team will continue to do so in the hopes of starting the season in early January. "We are ready to play when we get the red light".
