Kingsville tennis player back on the court again

Lauren Portugal has been itching to swing her racquet on the court and is glad to be back. "Oh, it's awesome" said Portugal.

The 14-year old hasn't played competitively since December at the Jr. Orange Bowl in Florida and used the pandemic to work on her fitness level. Tennis returned in parts of the U.S. in April so her coach/father says Lauren has some catching up to do. "They have to meet the American requirements because that's where they are going to end up going." said Sal Portugal. "They have to keep up with it".

Hear why Lauren, who will soon affiliate with the new Zekelman Tennis Centre at St. Clair College, enjoys training with her dad. She is hoping he can help her achieve a significant goal.
