Lancers fall to Laurier

Days like this are not easy to take but the Windsor Lancers know a 52-10 loss to Laurier is part of the process they must endure. The Golden Hawks opened up a 28-0 first half lead before getting on the board late in the second quarter.. 3rd year defensive lineman Zack Benson intercepted a pass at the Laurier 48-yard line and returned it to the 26. A few plays later Quarterback Sam Girard found Kaeden Walls for an eight-yard strike to make it 28-7 at the half.

The Golden Hawks pulled away in the second half to earn their second straight win and improve their season record to 3-3. The Lancers have lost six straight after winning their season opener. They head to Ottawa next week to close out the season.
