LAKESHORE, ON — Hockey fans will get a rare chance to see NHL legends back on the ice when the NHL Alumni take on the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police Law Enforcement All-Stars on Sunday, January 11, 2026. The annual charity matchup, dubbed Hockey Night in Lakeshore, will be held at the Atlas Tube Recreation Centre.
The game is part of the 2026 NHL Alumni Benefit Tour, featuring former players from Stanley Cup–winning teams, iconic Original Six franchises, and local former NHLers. Proceeds support Special Olympics Ontario and the Law Enforcement Torch Run, helping provide year-round sports training and competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities.
Fans can expect an entertaining and competitive exhibition, complete with end-to-end rushes, slick dekes, and booming slap shots as the Alumni renew rivalries against local law enforcement. Past tours have included hockey greats such as Wendel Clark, Curtis Joseph, Tiger Williams, and Theo Fleury.
Doors open at 1:00 p.m., with puck drop set for 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance from any OPP detachment, $25 online, or $30 at the door. Discounted $20 tickets are available for seniors and children under 12, while kids under three get in free.
