Windsor Aces fall to Toronto Predators to end the season

The Windsor Aces needed a win in their regular season finale against the Toronto Predators but dropped a 4-1 decision to the GMHL's last place team.

With the game tied after two periods the Predators went on the attack scoring three times to earn only their third win since early December.

Captain Luke Mahon played his last game with the Aces fells the 13 minutes in penalties his team took hurt their chances of advancing to the playoffs.

“Tough loss. We should've won, had the chances but couldn’t bury it. Penalty trouble, and that’s the season,” said Mahon.

With many of the players expected to return next season the Aces hope to improve on a disappointing season that saw the team finish 7th in the South division with a 14-25-4 record.
