Super Series tied at 1

The LaSalle Vipers and Leamington Flyers are as close as they can be to game action as they battle in the Essex-County Super Series. The Flyers took game one 2-0 while the Vipers rebounded with a 3-2 overtime win earlier this week. Spencer Lecot was the hero in the extra session.

"The game was a lot of fun". said Lecot. " Nice to start picking up the tempo and start to learn how to play with new teammates in these circumstances where it's hard to communicate through masks. It was nice to go out and execute a game plan and end up taking the game in overtime".

The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League was slated to begin next week but now looks forward to a January 15 start. Game 3 of the series is set for Sunday in Leamington at 2pm. You can catch the action on Hockey TV.

"The intensity of the series has been increasing each game which is great after not playing since March. said Lecot.
