Hunter Brown became the first former St. Clair Green Giants player drafted by a Major League Baseball team. The 20-year old was chosen by the Houston Astros in the 5th round, 166th overall. Brown pitched for the Green Giants during their inaugural season in the Great Lakes Collegiate Summer League. Stadium annoucer Greg Lawson proud shared the news with excited fans during the team's season opener. The righty is in the record books at Wayne State ranking second in k's and fifth in wins.
