Windsor’s Darren Alexander is heading to the international stage once again.

The 35-year-old earned a spot on Team Canada’s Adult Men’s bowling team after placing second at the Canadian Tenpin Trials, held at Rev’s Rose Bowl Lanes in Windsor.
Alexander rolled a perfect 300 game during the two-day tournament, finishing with a silver-medal performance that secured one of six coveted positions on the national roster.
“It was really cool to bowl out of my home centre,” said Alexander. “The fact I got to do this nine times, it’s unbelievable. Every time we go somewhere and see the world, you can’t ask for more than that. It’s an honour.”
A veteran of the national program, Alexander has represented Canada around the globe, recently competing in Hong Kong. Australia remains his favourite international destination, but he’s already looking ahead to the season ahead — including the Molson Masters on Valentine’s Day.
With another Team Canada jersey secured, Alexander continues to represent Windsor in the national spotlight.
