Essex dominates home opener

The Essex 73's powered their way to a 13-0 win Tuesday night against the visiting Amherstburg Admirals.

After being held off the scoresheet in his Essex debut, Gabe Piccolo erupted for 3 goals and 4 assists to lead the way. Liam Hall also had a hat trick and an assists. Kale Couvillon pitched in a goal and four assists. Singles went to Jayden Seguin, Travis Rivest, Nick Cameron and Luke Sherk. Adrian McBride turned aside all 18 shots he faced as Essex improved to 2-0 while the Admirals fall to 0-2.

Essex travels to Dresden Friday to take on the Kings. Amherstburg hosts Lakeshore Saturday night at the Libro starting at 7:30. For more local sports check out our website.
