Queen's rallies to oust Lancers in OUA football semi-finals (video)

The University of Windsor Lancers football team saw its season end with a hard-fought 36–25 loss to the Queen’s Gaels in the OUA semifinal on Saturday, November 1, at Alumni Stadium — the program’s first home semifinal since 1990.
After a tight opening quarter, Windsor took a 14–13 lead into halftime thanks to two short-yardage touchdowns from Kareame Cotton. The Lancers extended their advantage to 25–13 midway through the third quarter before the Gaels rallied behind running back Jared Chisari, who powered to 161 rushing yards and two touchdowns, sealing the win with a late score.
Liam Talbot led Windsor on the ground with 66 yards, while Evan Martin added 31 receiving yards. Defensively, Ethan John tallied 10.5 tackles and Ahmad Taylor notched two sacks.
Despite a spirited effort, the Lancers’ memorable 2025 campaign came to a close. Queen's advances to play Laurier November 8th at 1pm for the Yates Cup.
