The St. Clair Saints men’s volleyball program will have a new voice on the bench next season.

Head coach Shawn Reaume has announced he is stepping down at the end of the current campaign, closing a six-year tenure.
"I am so grateful. I've learned so much about myself and about all of these young athletes. The athletic department has been a dream to work with. For any other reason I wouldn't want to leave. It's tough." Reaume told Powerplay Sports.
Reaume says it has been tough being fully committed to volleyball and his young family.
Since taking over in 2019, he has guided the Saints to a 40–51 regular season record, with playoff appearances in four of five completed seasons. Last year’s team made a trip to the OCAA Championship, and this season’s squad (6-6) is in the mix for another post-season berth having won three straight matches.
"The foundation is set for future success." Reaume said about the current squad. "At the same time we have six guys graduating and they're all realizing we're in our last few weeks. So far we're doing pretty good."
Along the way, Reaume earned OCAA West Division Coach of the Year and Overall Coach of the Year honours in 2023–24, while mentoring multiple OCAA and CCAA all-stars and academic award winners.
Before that transition begins, the Saints have business to take care of beginning this weekend when they host Sheridan on Sunday at 4pm. Their seniors will be honoured prior to the match.
