Saints lose: Highlights of CJFL Semi-Final

The Okanagan Sun exacted revenge on the St. Clair College Saints with a 34-19 win Saturday. The Saints built a 19-0 halftime lead but couldn’t hold off the Okanagan Sun the Apple Bowl.

Saints' quarterback Matthew Guenette led an efficient first half, connecting on big plays to set up touchdowns from Jayden Shallow and MJ Doyle-Marshall. The Saints defence also forced turnovers to help build the early advantage.

However, the second half went uncharacteristically wrong as Okanagan’s defence took over, scoring twice and sparking 34 unanswered points. The Saints beat The Sun at Acumen Stadium a year ago to capture the CJFL title.

Okanagan advances to the Canadian Bowl on November 9, where they will face the winner of the Regina Thunder–Saskatoon Hilltops game.
