Saints soccer heading to provincials

Moussa Nizam scored a pair of goals to lead the St. Clair men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Algonquin. The victory qualified the Saints for the provincial tournament which begins Wednesday in Vaughn, Ontario at the Ontario Soccer Centre.

St. Clair will face Seneca in their opening match at 5:30pm. The winner advances to the semi-final Friday. The Sting were the top team in the East division with an unblemished 10-0 record.


The Saints finished 4th in the West at 5-4-1. The top two teams at the tournament will qualify for the national championship in Langley B.C in early November.
