Saints sweep into break

Conestoga battled but the St. Clair Men's basketball team prevailed 99-88 during their first semester finale at the Sportsplex Saturday afternoon. The Saints led 49-41 at the half and padded their lead to nineteen points in the third quarter.

The Condors fought back and cut the deficit to ten early in the fourth but that's as close as they would get as St. Clair extended their home winning streak to six.


David Gomez Jr. led the Saints with 28 points.  Jesiah Deerr pitched in 16 points while Kennedy grad Glynn Willis-Paris had 14 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks for the Saints. 


Conestoga was led by Stefan Simic who scored 25 points. He went 10 for 10 at the free throw line. .  

St. Clair will host Fanshawe January 17th.


The women's team closed out the first semester 8-2 following a 68-57 win over Conestoga. Logan Kucera led all scorers with 29 points.
