Spits excited to have a potential start date

The wait continues for three months and change but at least Windsor Spitfires general manager Bill Bowler can see the light at the end of the tunnel. The OHL is planning on returning to play in December. “It is a very positive sign now that commissioner David Branch has issued a targeted start date of December 1st" said Bowler.

The season will be shortened from 68 to 64 games with 16 teams making the playoffs. The regular season is scheduled to end April 29th. "It is a great feeling to know that OHL hockey will be resuming.” said Bowler. The Memorial Cup will be hosted by either the Soo Greyhounds or Oshawa Generals starting June 17th.
