Spits pad defence

The Windsor Spitfires chose defenceman Daniil Sobolev with the 40th pick of today's CHL Import Draft. The 6-footer weighs in a 198 and played for Moscow Spartak Jr. team last season. Born in 2003, Sobolev is from St. Petersburg, Russia.


The Spits also picked up defenceman Michael Renwick from Hamilton in exchange for two second round picks (2022, 2024) and a conditional 5th rounder in 2024. Renwick was a second round pick in 2018.
