St. Clair hosts upstart Lambton in semis

The St. Clair men's basketball team opened the OCAA championships with a 97-85 win over a stingy Conestoga Condors team. With a raucous crowd behind them St. Clair got off to a quick 17-8 lead but Conestoga responded with an energetic 19-4 run to take a six point lead.

The Saints opened up a 15 point lead in the third but the Candors made one last push and closed it to five. Chad Vincent-Simon threw down an one-handed slam with two minutes left in the game to thwart any idea of a Conestoga comeback.

Jalen Harmon was the player of the game with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Shak Pryce and Terrence Williams each had 18 for the top-seeded Saints who now face a Lambton team that opened some eyes in their quarterfinal game against Sheridan. The Lions finished the regular season 9-9 but dumped a Bruins team that went 12-6 by a big margin, 105-69.

Check out the reel and interviews with Jalen Harmon and Shak Pryce.
