The foursome of Brittany Van Hooft, Emma Floris, Maya Metivier and Emma Kljajic easily won their heat but had to wait for two races to see where they stood in the field of nine teams at the OUA championships Saturday afternoon.

The Windsor Lancers women's relay team finished with a time of 1:44.11. When the time flashed following the final heat the Lancers broke in to cheers knowing they had won a broze medal at the OUA championships. More importantly, their time moved the Lancers into a position to qualify for the national championships.

"We were sitting in 15th. Sitting in 11 now." said 5th year sprinter Emma Floris who ran the second leg of the race. "As long as no one else moves up and gets a hotter time that we did we'll be going to USports."

The top twelve times in the country qualify for the nationals at the University of Saskatchewan March 9th. The Lancers are waiting to see if their time holds up as the RSEC, AUS and Canada West host their championships meets.
