UWindsor men's volleyball lure Winnipeg hitter

Lancers' head coach James Gravelle is excited to be bringing 6'2 outside hitter Noah Koskie to Windsor from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Koskie was a high school MVP, all-star and champion at St. Paul's. He is also six-term honour student. He's going to take engineering.

A note from Koskie to Powerplay Sports....

"It has always been a dream of mine to play post-secondary volleyball, and I am thrilled to be able to take the next steps in my volleyball career at the University of Windsor. Even with the lack of a volleyball season this year, the Lancers Men’s volleyball team has welcomed me to the team with open arms. I chose Windsor because of the standard of excellence they hold, both athletically and academically. I’d like to thank Coach Gravelle for the opportunity I’ve been given and plan to make the most out of it improving not only as a player, but also as a student and person. I have high hopes for my upcoming years as a Lancer and hope to bring home a few championships with the team, but for now I’m waiting in anticipation for September to roll around to get started".

This is why...

Powerplay Sports was born while on a trip to Italy in the summer of 2018. Walking through a charming pedestrian underpass reminded me of being in the tunnel at the University of Michigan in the early part of my career. That feeling led to thoughts of Windsor Lancers football camp opening in three weeks and all of the fall sports that weren't going to be covered because of cuts to local sports coverage by legacy media.

With the support of a loving wife and family, I decided to create Powerplay Sports as a passion project.

I've come across some great people who have helped capture the essence of our community throughout the years like Tony Techko, Tony Doucette, Scott Scantlebury, Dom Papa, Steve Bell, Will Hill, Jim Parker and Mary Caton to name a few.

Please spread the word and follow along here or on social media so we can continue having the priviledge of highlighting our athletes, our community.
