The LaSalle Vipers skated to a 4–2 win over the London Nationals on Wednesday night, outshooting London 45–31. The teams were tied after one, but LaSalle pulled ahead with Ian Inskip’s second-period goal and added two more in the third, including an empty-netter from Kieran McNally. Nicolas Rosati and Michael Cunha also scored for the Vipers, while Jake Windbiel turned aside 29 shots in the win.
The victory gives LaSalle three wins in their last four games, earning seven of a possible eight points in that stretch. The Vipers now sit just one point back of seventh-place St. Thomas in the GOHL Western Conference, with Waterloo currently holding sixth at 33 points.
The Amherstburg Admirals broke through late and blanked the Wheatley Omstead Sharks 2–0 on the road, riding a perfect performance from goaltender Landon Dimitroff who earned the game's first star.
After two scoreless periods, Jackson Blair opened the scoring 2:20 into the third, and Drew Booker sealed the win with an empty-net goal in the final seconds.
Dimitroff stopped all 39 shots he faced to earn the shutout, while Amherstburg finished with 35 shots. Neither team capitalized on the power play, combining to go 0-for-8 in a physical contest that stayed scoreless until the third.
The victory is Amherstburg’s second straight and third in its last five games. The Admirals move into a tie for fifth place with Dresden in the Stobbs Division with 11 wins and 24 points. Amherstburg hosts Blenheim on Saturday before wrapping up the weekend on the road against the Blades, with their final game before the break set for an outdoor matchup December 23 at Lanspeary Park in Windsor against the Lakeshore Canadiens.
