Weekend Local Sports Recap

T.J Laramie defeated Terry Lamaire with a 2nd round TKO at BTC 22 in Burlington Saturday night for his second straight win. The 26-year old improves to 14-5-0.

The women's basketball team at St. Clair College is off to a hot start. They won both of their games this weekend and are at the top of the West Division with a 6-0 record. They beat Humber 72-61 Friday during Alumni Night and followed it up with a 75-43 win over Sheridan Saturday. The Saints host Lambton Wednesday at the Sportsplex.


The men's team beat Humber Friday 86-81 led by Chad Vincent-Simon who had 25 points and rookie guard Andrew Loyuk (Kennedy) who pitched in 24 points. The Saints suffered their first loss of the season Satuday afternoon in a disappointing 93-88 loss to (3-4) Sheridan. St. Clair is tied for first with Mohawk in the West at 5-1.



The Riverside Rangers U18C team won the West Lorne Rising Stars tournament. The U12 took the 51st Annual Powerplay Tournament.



The Kitchener Rangers scored five unanswered goal in the third period to erase a two-goal deficit for a 6-3 win. The loss extends Windsor's losing streak to eight games. The Spits hit the road for the next five games before returning home December 7th to host the Barrie Colts.


Another win for provincial boxing champ Jayden Trudell in Oakville this weekend. He's preparing for the nationals next month.



Vance Dalpe has committed to play at Howard Community College. He played six games with the Windsor Clippers last summer and had seven goals and seven assists.



The North Star Wolves beat Brennan to win the Hogan's Printing Bowl.
