Altiman returns, Santos joins Flyers

It's been a busy couple of weeks for the Leamington Flyers. They are bringing back goaltender Tre Altiman following Tuesday's trade with the King Rebellions that cost them a player development fee.

"We're excited to welcome Tre back to Leamington," Head coach Dale Mitchell told Powerplay Sports. "He was a big part of the team's success before being traded to King. Tre knows the culture and what Leamington has to offer and we're thrilled to bring back his work ethic and nose for the net.

Altiman was 11-3-1 before moving to King where he posted an 11-8-0-1 record with the Rebellion who were ousted in the first round by Collingwood.

"I'm really excited about the opportunity to return to the team and play in Leamington again," Altiman said. "It is a great place to play with awesome fans and I'm looking forward to contributing as much as possible and having a great season with the Flyers."

Richard Santos joins Flyers

The Flyers snatched Richard Santos from the Sutherland Cup winning Chatham Maroons. He joins the Flyers after three years in Chatham.

"I wanna thank Bill and Karen Szekesy for the opportunity to coach the last three years in Chatham and getting the chance to win the Sutherland Cup." Santos told Powerplay Sports.

Santos will be Dale Mitchell's assistant GM and assistant coach. He'll also be coaching at the BioSteel Academy as part of the deal.

"Couldn't pass up the opportunity to coach the U16's at the Biosteel Academy while still being able to be an assistant GM and assistant coach." Santos said. "Can't wait to get started with such a historical organization like Leamington and put my personal touch on the program. I'll never forget my experience in Chatham though. It made me a better person and coach."
