Former Lancer Brennan Feasey Named Head Coach of Chatham Maroons
Another former Windsor Lancer is advancing in the coaching ranks. Brennan Feasey has been named the new head coach of the Chatham Maroons.
“It’s an incredible honor to take over this role with the Maroons,” Feasey told Powerplay Sports. “I’ve had a strong connection to this team for many years, both as a player and as an assistant coach, so to now be in a position to lead the team is really special. There’s a lot of excitement for what’s ahead, and I’m eager to build on the success the team has had while continuing to push for excellence.”

Feasey's promotion follows recent announcements involving other former Lancers and Maroons coaches. Andrew Donaldson is heading to Germany to take an assistant coaching position, while Kyle Makaric has accepted an assistant coaching role with the OHL's Saginaw Spirit.
Feasey’s playing career includes three seasons with the Maroons from 2010 to 2013, with additional stints in the OHL with Windsor and Brampton. He later played for the Windsor Lancers from 2015 to 2020 before a brief professional career.
After transitioning into coaching, Feasey served as an assistant coach under Richard Santos, helping guide the Maroons to a Sutherland Cup championship. Becoming a head coach has long been one of his career goals.

“Absolutely. Coaching and managing a team have always been goals of mine,” said Feasey. “My playing career gave me the foundation, and my time as an assistant coach showed me just how rewarding it is to be part of the development and success of a team. I’ve always been passionate about the game, and the opportunity to take on a larger leadership role with the Maroons feels like the perfect next step.”
The transition has been smooth so far, as Feasey steps into a team culture he knows well. He acknowledges there’s plenty of work ahead but believes the team is well-positioned for success.
“I’m excited to get started,” he added.
