Comets soar in SWOSSA final

Catholic Central have won their second championship this spring knocking off Great Lakes Secondary in Sarnia 3-1 Tuesday afternoon.

No one found the back of the net in the first half. Great Lakes scored first in the second half which, "woke the boys." said CCH head coach Rocco Facchineri.


The Comets picked up their pace and got goals by Zakaria Ali, Jorge Rodriguez Marquez and Aliye Aliye to seal the victory.


Catholic Central has a week to prepare for their return to OFSAA. They'll play in the AA tournament in Ottawa starting June 5th.
