The Leamington District Secondary School runner set a new mark in the senior boys 100 metres, blazing across the finish line in 10.68 seconds. "The race felt good, but I can go faster," Milks told Powerplay Sports after the win.

His sights are set even higher — the Lions' sprinter hopes to run 10.4 seconds in the event before the season is over.

Milks will return to the track Thursday to compete in the 200 metres, where he's aiming to break another record. His season goal in that event? A blazing 20.9 seconds.

"I think my season is going well coming off of a hamstring injury," he said. "I definitely wish I started the season stronger, but it is what it is."
