First 'ship for North Star High School

The Sr. Girls volleyball team at North Star won the WECSSAA AA title Thursday night in a 3-0 win over L'Essor. It's the first championship for the high school which opened last fall.

The Wolves had too much firepower for Les Aigles but L'Essor showed some flair throughout the match. A highlight of the night was Juliana Miecz on the service line for six straight points in the third set.

North Star will host the SWOSSA championship February 22nd.
