Gallant effort by Herman before bowing out at OFSAA

The Herman sr. boys basketball team rose to the occasion against the top-seed Frontenac at the OFSAA AA tournament Tuesday afternoon before losing 64-59. The quarter-final game was tied at 42 heading into the fourth quarter. Grade 11 guard Sam Player sparked the Falcons scoring 10 of his 23 points in the final frame as Frontenac led by eight points with 1:44 left.

Herman's Desmond Price scored five straight points as the Grifs closed the gap to three points with 26 seconds on the clock. However that's as close as they would get. Price was Herman's top scorer with 23 points.
