Herman holds on to advance to OFSAA

The Herman sr. boys basketball team beat the Great Lakes Secondary School Wolfpack in Sarnia 68-65 to advance to OFSAA. "The boys played awesome." said head coach Andrew Loebach. "The effort, that's something we've gotten from them all year long."

Kimoni Morgan led Herman with 18 points. Seth Ainsworth drop all of his 21 points in the final quarter for the Wolfpack who made a furious comeback bid but fell short of overcoming an 18 point deficit. "I was telling our team today that they should feel really happy about the win because we beat a good team." said Loebach.

By qualifying for OFSAA the Griffins now get to enjoy staying close to home with Belle River hosting the tournament starting Monday.

"We're excited. It's kinda cool to play teams from across Ontario." Loebach said.
