Josh Middleton bar down goal

Josh Middleton scored early in the third period as the Belle River boy's hockey team earned a 3-1 win over Holy Names Monday.

Owen Arthur and Justin Middleton also scored for Belle River who moved to 2-0 on the season. They were WECSSAA champs a year ago but lost at SWOSSA.

Belle River is at the Vollmer Complex Wednesday to take on Villanova. Holy Names heads to Tecumseh Wednesday to take on the St. Anne Saints who opened the season last week with a 3-2 win over the Wildcats.
