Kennedy Clippers are AA football champs

The Kennedy Clippers beat Cardinal Carter 36-14 to win the WECSSAA AA championship at Alumni Field Monday night. Clippers quarterback Donte Green took off on a 90-yard run to the house for one of his two touchdowns on the night to give Kennedy a 23-0 advantage at the half. The Cougars pushed in the second half scoring a pair of touchdowns. Noah Anscombe returned an 80-yard interception and Lekon Mustapha found the end zone for the Cougars. Lavon Pierce had a good game for Kennedy running for over 100 yards and scoring a pair of touchdowns for the Clippers.
