New opponent. Same result. Lajeunesse beat Maranatha to capture their ninth WECSSAA A title in ten years with an 86-45 win.

Maranatha proved to be a worthy adversary as they pushed the defending champs and trailed 34-30 at the half. Lajeunesse ran away with the game in the second half outscoring their South Windsor rivals 52-15.

Lucas Kwapisz led all scorers with 28 points and Jacy Zhang pitched in 18 for Les Royals. Joseph Albano dropped 18 for Maranatha.

Lajeunesse now hosts SWOSSA Wednesday as they welcome John McGregor to town for a 5pm tip off. Les Royals are the defending OFSAA champs and are looking to earn the right to defend their title.
