Masse hosting baseball clinic

Windsor-West MP Brian Masse is a sports fan at heart and for the second year in a row is offering kids a chance to try the game. He, along with Windsor West Little League are hosting a Catch & Pitch Clinic at the Toldo Lancer Centre Saturday, March 23rd between 4-6pm.

Special guest Lith Webb is an ambassador for the event and will be sharing her wealth of knowledge as an NCAA champion and California University of Pennsylvania Athletics hall of famer.

Yvette Temple, president of Windsor West Little League encourages those between the ages of 4 and 17 to sign up. "It's a good opportunity for kids to learn the game and maybe join a team," Temple said. "Windsor West is like a big family and whether they join us or another league baseball creates strong friendships, bonds and opportunities for personal growth."

"Another great resource for local sports produced by a person that has been invested in local sports for decades."

This is why...

Powerplay Sports was born while on a trip to Italy in the summer of 2018. Walking through a charming pedestrian underpass reminded me of being in the tunnel at the University of Michigan in the early part of my career. That feeling led to thoughts of Windsor Lancers football camp opening in three weeks and all of the fall sports that weren't going to be covered because of cuts to local sports coverage by legacy media.

With the support of a loving wife and family, I decided to create Powerplay Sports as a passion project.

I've come across some great people who have helped capture the essence of our community throughout the years like Tony Techko, Tony Doucette, Scott Scantlebury, Dom Papa, Steve Bell, Will Hill, Jim Parker and Mary Caton to name a few.

Please spread the word and follow along here or on social media so we can continue having the priviledge of highlighting our athletes, our community.
