The Grade 10 phenom set an astonishing three records across her events, beginning with a commanding win in the 1500m. Chan clocked in at 4:40.30, a full 26 seconds ahead of her closest competitor, Ellie Reiter of Leamington District Secondary School. Her time tied a long-standing record set by Annette Pelletier of Assumption back in 1983.

Chan returned to the track Wednesday in the junior 400m and made more history, blazing to a time of 55.83 seconds. She shattered the previous record of 58.74 seconds set by Meghan Fall of Brennan in 2002.

Capping off her exceptional week, Chan lined up for the 800m Thursday morning and delivered yet another record-breaking performance. Finishing in 2:11.17, she eclipsed the previous mark of 2:15.47, held by Brianna Bracci of Massey since 2013. She crossed the line an impressive 18 seconds ahead of runner-up Thea Astles of Villanova.

Reflecting on her effort in the 800m, Chan told Powerplay Sports, “I feel it was pretty good. The weather was really good. Perfect for running the 800m. I'm so happy (setting the record). I could not have done it without my teammates, coaches and family all supporting me and I'm super grateful for them. I'm excited to see how the season goes."

With her trio of victories, Chan heads into SWOSSA next week, as the top eight finishers in each event advance.
