Jocelyn Casey tried almost every sport under the sun
Diving is the one that stuck. Her mom dropped her off at a summer camp and she fell in love with the sport. "I loved the adrenaline it gave me and eventually it became more than a sport to me." The 15-year old told Powerplay Sports. "It lit off a spark in me. I love it."

Casey has been diving for eight years and recently returned home from a competition in London, England with a silver medal in the 1m platform.
"I had a lot of setbacks during the season and just to compete and prove to myself that just because I've had setbacks with injuries it doesn't mean that I can't perform. I felt really good."
The Sandwich Secondary student would like to earn a scholarship to the U.S.
Like Casey, Charlee Ramirez's mom signed her up for diving.
"At first I hated it. I was so scared to do dives and then I did it and I was so happy. I just started doing more and more and I just love the sport even more." Ramirez said.

Ramirez earned a silver medal in the 10m platform. "I was really happy and proud of myself. There were some dives I didn't do very good but I rebounded. I didn't I was going to make finals or get a medal so I was happy."
The 13-year old is focused on getting a scholarship in the U.S. and finds herself watching world class divers to learn as much as she can to help her get better.
Avery Cowan won gold on the 10m platform.
"There was a lot of ups and downs. I didn't do so good on some dives, and then I did amazing, a lot better than I do in practice on another dive."

Cowan didn't let the bad dives get the best of her. "I just tried taking my mind off it, and just started focusing on the next dive and then I made finals."
Trampoline was Cowan's thing before she saw diving at the Olympics. She overcame her fear of heights through diving. "I finally gathered the courage to go on the higher boards and that started making me fall in love with it."
Two other Windsor Diving Club members finished in the top 15 with most of the events having over 40 competitors.
The meet in England capped off their season. All three will move up an age division in the new year and look forward to the challenges that lay ahead.
