Night Flight soars in return

Updated: Sep 1

Kevin Dinardo is happy with the return of Night Flight, a pole vaulting showcase held along the riverfront this past weekend.

"We had a lot of people out," Dinardo said of the Elite competition held Friday.

The event was last held on Ouellette Avenue near University in 2017. The revival was held near the Macassa Bay docking area with many pausing their walk, cycle ride or run to take in some of the action.

Dinardo looks forward to creating a bigger atmosphere next summer.

"A lof of people are excited about this year," Dinardo told Powerplay Sports. "Definitely another try on the river. Might build it up. Have some bleachers, little extras. Excited.
