Spitfires rebound vs Sarnia

There were a lot of firsts as the Windsor Spitfires beat Sarnia 8-5 Saturday night at the WFCU Centre. Ruben Rafkin was one of four defencemen to score their first goal of the season. The 17-year old skated through the high slot and scored off the far post for his first OHL goal at 16:45 of the second period and the game winner.

Also finding the back of the net for the first time were Thomas Stevenson, Louka Henault and Dylan Robinson as the Spits rebounded from a loss Friday night in Kitchener. Curtis Douglas and Daniel D'Amico each had a goal and an assist to lead the offence. Jean-Luc Foudy pitched in three assists.

Windsor's next game is at home against Flint Thursday, October 17th.
