Late goal sinks Spits in OT

Tecumseh native Nick Chenard returned home as a member of the Owen Sound Attack making 33 saves to backstop the visitors to a 3-2 overtime win. Kaleb Pearson scored the game-winner with 1.8 seconds left in the extra session to move to within two points of 6th place Guelph.

Spits head coach Trevor Letowski felt his team deserved better as Windsor outshot Owen Sound 35-25. "For us to control the play like we did says a lot about the way we played," Letowski said, "Little details that you need to tighten up if you wanna win in the playoffs".

Curtis Douglas scored a pair of goals for the Spits including the game-tying goal with 1:08 left in the third period to send the game into overitme.

"Just trying to look past it and move on to the next game" said Douglas.

Windsor is in Flint Saturday night before hosting Kitchener Sunday afternoon.
