Spits have their man

After an extensive search Windsor Spitfires general manager Bill Bowler is ready to announce who the next head coach of the team will be. "We're excited the process is over and we can move forward with a head coach." Bowler told Powerplay Sports.

The job became available when Marc Savard signed on to be an assistant coach with the Calgary Flames before the NHL draft in June. He spent two seasons in Windsor guiding the team to two Western Conference regular season titles and a spot in the OHL final in 2022.

Bowler kept his choice close to the vest but is excited to introduce the team's tenth coach of this millennium Monday morning at the WFCU Centre.
