Genevieve Taylor has always wanted to play ball down south and will get that opportunity after signing a four-year scholarship to play softball at Albany State University in the state of Georgia.

"I’m so excited to sign for my position as a Golden Ram," The Brennan senior told Powerplay Sports. "Albany State was a good fit for me. It's just one of those feelings you get when it's the right choice to make. Coach (Jason) Bryant is very welcoming with open arms and that's part of the reason it made it so easy to say yes."
The 17-year old had a later start in softball joining the Forest Glade Falcons when she was eleven. Last summer she suited up for Tennessee Mojo LMW 18U. Taylor is a catcher and corner infielder.
She currently plays volleybal for the Cardinals sr. girls volleyball team who split their first week of the season losing to Kennedy before beating Windsor Islamic. Brennan hosts Essex December 10th at 5:20 before welcoming Leamington Thursday at 4pm.
Taylor is excited for 2025 and is thankful to be in a position to continue her journey in the game. "My biggest supporters are my mom and dad, Anne and Jim Taylor, and coach Rich Mayville (Forest Glade). They have never given up on me after a very hard game or practice and lifted my head up whenever it was down. I would not be where I am without their impact."
