The Villanova Wildcats baseball team repeated as SWOSSA champs with 12-2 win over the Wallaceburg Tartans. "Very happy with the boys." said head coach Tom Beale. "Tough turnaround. We lost a lot of seniors from last year."

Beale says he didn't know what to expect this season but the Wildcats didn't miss a beat going 7-0-1. The only team holding them back from running the table was St. Anne who tied Villanova 1-1 on May 9th.

"Different guy every game this year. Just so impressed with the group."

Will Lewis and Trevor Mulder were a force on the mound while Tennison Seguin, Cooper Otterman and Carter Mayne each had two hits for the Wildcats who advance to the OFSAA regionals being hosted by St. Anne June 7-8 at various fields across the area.

Villanova won the West region title and took bronze at OFSAA a year ago.
