Walker leads Flyers past former team

Ethan Walker scored twice including the game winner leading the way as the Leamington Flyers rolled past the Lindsay Muskies 5-1.

Walker, who played parts of two season with the Muskies before coming to Leamington, notched the game winner with his 11th of the season on the powerplay late in the first period.

Ashton Darocy, back in the lineup for the first time since a knee-to-knee hit kept him out for over a month, opened the scoring at 11:39 of the first period. Brendan Cooke and Landon Pickersgill also found the net, while Brayden Degelas and Landon Bernard each added a pair of assists. Kai Williams scored for Lindsay, but the Flyers’ firepower proved too much.

The Flyers, who are 6th in the West Conference, have won three of their last four games and head to Burlington Friday to take on the 7th-place Cougars.
