The Lakeshore Canadiens rolled to a convincing 9–2 win over the Dresden Kings, scoring twice in the first period before breaking the game open with four goals in the second and three more in the third.
Vaughn Truppe (1G, 2A), Jordan Maine (2G), Aedan Sullivan (1G, 1A), and Denver Boismier (1G, 1A) led a balanced Canadiens attack, while Hunter Welk turned aside 21 of 23 shots in goal.
"I would say we're a defence first, scrappy team." said Lakeshore head coach Brent Walker. "We've played a lot of tight games lately and I think we needed that kind of explosion in terms of goals scoring tonight. It kind of helps the confidence. It creates a little bit of fun, it's just fun."
Derek Nevills scored both goals for Dresden, but Lakeshore outshot the Kings 36–23 and went 1-for-3 on the power play to seal the lopsided victory.
