Wright introduced

World Junior's captain Shane Wright was introduced during a media conference late Tuesday afternoon at the WFCU Centre. The newest member of the Windsor Spitfires practiced with the team before being handed his #51 jersey by general manager Bill Bowler and head coach Marc Savard. "It was the right fit. It was the right situation to go into." said the 19-year old. "Really felt like it was the place where I could go and help win a championship."

In the span of seven days Bowler orchestrated four deals that brought in five players (Wright, Aiden Castle, Rodwin Dionicio, Brett Harrison and Jacob Holmes) costing three roster players (Bronson Ride, Ethan Miedema and Chris O'Flaherty) and twenty draft picks, including two conditional selections. When asked if the moves make his team the one to beat in the Western Conference, Bowler said he likes their chances moving forward. "We feel comfortable we have a chance to compete."
