73's take stranglehold of series (video)

The Essex 73's beat Dresden 4-0 Sunday to take a commanding 3-0 series lead over the Kings in their first round playoff series. After registering a lone assist in the first two games, Luke Sherk had a big game with a pair of goals and an assist to lead the way. Nate Dowling added a pair of assists.

"I've been off to a slow start this post season. It's nice to finally get back into the groove of things." Sherk said.

Essex goalie Wyatt Sloetjes turned aside all 15 shots he faced. His counterpart Joseph Malinowski was much busier making 41 saves.
