James Hill scorched the course at Rochester Place Thursday firing an 8-under par 64 to win the Collegiate men's division with ease. He started his round with a bogey but bounced back to beat Josh DiCarlo by five strokes.

"This was my lowest tournament round and I feel like my game has really improved this year" said Hill who now has a two-point lead in the standings over Alex Saroli with one event remaining. The Detroit Mercy golfer scored seven birdies but the highlight of his day happened on his last hole (par 5 ninth) when he dropped an eagle. "It's nice to see the results".

Kyla Charlebois won her second straight event firing a one-under par 71. "It feels awesome to win a second time in a row. I have been working very hard on my game in the last weeks and it was great to have everything come together the last two rounds" said the Pointe West golfer.

Earlier this week Charlebois failed to qualify for the Ontario U19 jr. girls championship at Shelburne. She was proud to rebound with a strong round after she and her dad left Melancthon, Ontario at 6am in order to make it back in time to play at Rochester "It was great as I was able to focus and shoot a low round in order to bounce back from the last tournament". Charlebois is in first place overall by a point and a half over Kennedy Fremlin.

In the Collegiate women's division Gioia DiCiocco or Erie Shores shot an 87 to earn the win while Erin Kopinak and Hannah Prieur finished second and third, respectively.

Aidan Webster out of Willow Ridge/Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers, claimed the title in the Junior Boys’ Division by firing a two-under par 70. He beat Alek Mauro and Nicholas Tanovich by two shots.

The final event takes place at beautiful Kingsville Golf and Curling Club Monday.
