Flyers sink Raiders in game one

The Georgetown Raiders may have benefitted from the repair time of broken glass prior to game one of their first round series against the Flyers in Leamington. The game started about 30 minutes late and the Raiders took advantage of the rest and jumped out to a 2-1 lead midway through the first.

Once the Flyers got the wind under their wings it was lights out. Leamington scored four goals in 4:22 to stun the visitors and cruise to a 6-2 win.

Cayden Faust had four assists in the first period. Cameron Arquette finished with two goals and a helper. Sebastian Gatto got the win in net for Leamington steering aside 39 shots.

Game two is Saturday night in Georgetown. Game 3 is back in Leamington Thursday March 14th.
