Nick Bolton made 27 saves as the Lakeshore Canadiens opened their Stobbs Division best-of-seven semi final against Wheatley with a 4-0 win.

After a scoreless first period that saw the Sharks biting the Habs with an 11-7 shot advantage, it was Lakeshore that got on the board first. Blake Doe got his first of the playoffs at 4:57.

Late in the second Wheatley got caught deep in the Lakeshore zone when Zach Vaillancourt picked up a loose puck and broke out of the zone with speed. He dished over to Spencer Higginbottom in the neutral zone. He made a move to his forehand leaving no time for the Sharks' defender to adjust, cut across the crease and beat Ethan Handley on the backhand for a 2-0 lead.

Eric Bisson fed Vaillancourt from behind the net for a one-timer at 8:54 of the third and Julian Gignac closed out the scoring at 16:13 with his 4th of the playoffs.

Lakeshore has a 1-0 series lead with game 2 tonight in Wheatley. Check out goals by Vaillancourt and Gignac and post game interviews in the video below.
