Margaret Yan setting example

Massey's Margaret Yan has been playing volleyball since grade school and has always had an affinity for the game. Her dad is a big influence. "I've been watching volleyball since really young because my dad played volleyball in university when he lived in Chatham and so I've always loved volleyball."

She would like to continue playing volleyball at the next level after she graduates this year. "I'm hoping to play in University but studies are my number one right now." said Yan who hopes to be a doctor one day.

"I know it's a lot of school so that's why I'm thinking that playing University volleyball would be tough but obviously if given the chance I'm definitely going to and try my best to."

The Mustangs are off to an 0-2 start after dropping Tuesday's match against the undefeated North Star Wolves. "We're gonna try our best to do good." Yan said, "Last year we did lost a lot of our starters but I think the team is really coming together with a few new middles and left sides. We're just gonna try and have good energy and do our best to be a really good defensive team."
