Emmitt Richard started the inning with a single to right. The grade 9 player stole second setting McMillan up for his moment. "Put a good swing on it," said McMillan who drove a fast ball deep to centre, over the head of the outfielder. "It was awesome. We were scrappy."

The Saints added three more runs and pitcher Gavin Campbell closed the door as St. Anne advances to the OFSAA regionals, which they'll host, next week at Lacasse Park.

"A lot of guys put in a lot of work. A lot of situational plays that we had to pull off to get guys in scoring position and some clutch hits." said Campbell who came in and had Wallaceburg hitter off balance during his two innings on the mound.
